HCGA Submits Comments to Cannabis Advisory Committee

Updated: Oct 1, 2020

Monday afternoon, HCGA submitted written comments to the Cannabis Advisory Committee (CAC) in advance of their upcoming meeting on September 24-25, 2020. The CAC is tasked with reviewing state cannabis regulations and making non-binding recommendations to the state on which regulations should be changed or reconsidered. With state agencies potentially considering changes to cannabis regulations over the next year, this week's CAC meeting is an opportunity to influence the direction of future cannabis policy.

HCGA's comments focused on topics including reforming track-and-trace, increasing access to farm stand sales, and reducing testing costs for small farms.

The virtual CAC meeting on September 24-25 is open to the public and will include an opportunity for public comment. For more information on the meeting and how to comment, check out the CAC agenda here.
