Woody Ridge is about natural farming. I believe in cultivating the soil first. By ensuring the earth is well cared for, we can then grow the best plants possible. 

When did you start growing cannabis?

About 30 years ago. 

What are the most rewarding aspects of your job?

To connect with nature. I grew up with the motto "Always leave a campsite better than you found it," and that continues to inspire me. 

How does your farm help tell the Humboldt cannabis story? 

I believe in making things better, always improving and caring for the environment. That's part of the Humboldt story.

What's one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?

I grew up with sign language--both my parents were deaf. I guess I learned to speak from TV!
